Summerside, PEI

Catch up from the last few days….

This past Friday was Air Show practice day and of course, meet old and new friends.

Rob & I had the pleasure of once again meeting up with Marco Rusconi, who flies in the number 7 position with the Snowbirds.

The Snowbirds were practicing their routine and during the practice, one of Marco’s team members, Dan introduced himself to us. Dan informed us that they had a surprise for us.

The Snowbirds dedicate parts of their routine to individuals. So do you know where this is heading? Marco had Dan announce over the sound system, that the “Heart” symbol made in the sky by the Snowbirds was dedicated to Rob & I. Marco thinks that it is so romantic that we are flying across the East Coast in a 1952 Harvard on our holidays. I have to say, it was a very special moment for us.

By the way, Marco & his bride did the same thing for their honeymoon last year; flew their Harvard across Canada.

Today was a quiet day being tourists since the Air Show was cancelled due to bad weather. Here is a picture of the weather radar.

About rv6adventures

I love flying and the outdoors. My husband Rob Erdos is the Chief Test Pilot, NRC and on his spare time flies vintage airplanes for Vintage Wings of Canada. Rob & I are building an RV-6 homebuilt plane, and are loving every minute of it.
